Thanks for visiting this blog! A little about me. I am a Swiss citizen, born in Zurich and raised in the USA. My Dad is 100% Swiss and my mother traces her roots back to the pilgrims that landed on Plymouth Rock. Every summer my cousin(s) and I would spend about a month in Switzerland with our grandparents, and a lot of my family culture growing up was based on being Swiss, from fondue to raclette to bunderfleish we celebrated all the traditional food from Switzerland and the rest of Europe. However growing up in Massachusetts, we also ate traditional American food, along with New England favorites like steamers and lobster.
I am married to a wonderful Indian man, and with him came a new love of Indian food. He grew up in Gujarat, and came to the states in his early twenties. While he is a great sport and loves anything I put in front of him, a lot of his comfort food is vegetarian. In this blog I have tried to demystify and even lighten up some of the traditional Indian recipes. Using the instant pot and cutting most of the oil have made these dishes easier and healthier.
This is a blog dedicated to our kids. From a multinational household, they grew up eating these foods, and living in this way. We think one of the best things in life is to take what you feel is the best of any culture, and weave it into your own family culture. From our family to yours, celebrate every day in your own unique way.
A Gueta, Bon Appetite, and Enjoy
